Zhu Changdi (朱常棣) is renowned throughout China as the master of impressionistic landscapes. Zhu Changdi was born in 1938 in Chong Qing, China, studied flower and bird painting from Zhu Peijun, and taught himself landscape painting.
Zhu Changdi was President of the Association of Landscape Painting, Director of the Chengdu Art Association, and Member of the Chinese National Art Association. He has published

Zhu Changdi's last solo exhibit was in Germany at Tiger-Galerie Asiatische Kunst, in Drensteinfurt in 1989. This exhibit at Shangri-La will be his first solo exhibit in the United States. His works will be on exhibit from May to August 2006 at Shangri-La art gallery at 156 The Commons, Ithaca, NY, USA. Opening reception Friday 5 May 2005 from 5 to 9 PM. This exhibit is sponsored by The United States Presidents Center, a non-profit arts and educations organization.
Zhu Changdi's works have an atmospheric dreamy quality capturing the mountainous wilderness of Sichuan in a spontaneous impressionistic style, and are held in art collections around the world. Individual works have been exhibited in Japan, Russia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and England.
