REMEMBER THE LADIES featuring internationally famous oil portrait paintings of United States First Ladies by acclaimed artist, Lawrence Williams, will be at Shangri-La Gifts and Publications, 156 E. State St (The Commons), from 3 March to 5 May, 2006. Our next art opening on May 5th shall feature 朱常棣 Zhu Changdi - Western Chinese Landscapes.

In September of 2005, Shangri-La in Ithaca hosted
the Papyri of Said, Delta Papyrus Center. An early student of the famous Dr. Hassan Ragab who rediscovered the ancient Egyptian art of papyrus making,
Said of the Delta Papyrus Center is the premiere master of papyrus art. Come see a wide range of this artist's unique creations, on exhibit until March 2006.
CORTLAND EVENT REMINDER
In Cortland, NY, Shangri-La is located at 55 Main St, Corner of Main and Court Streets. There you can also find our fine textiles, art exhibits and publications beginning in June 2005.
HORSES JOURNEY WEST featuring masterful horse watercolor paintings of acclaimed Chinese painter,
YI HONGBIN 易洪斌, will open the
Shangri-La Cortland, NY, 55 Main St, from May to August of 2005. Opening reception was from 7 to 9 PM, Thursday, May 19th, 2005.

POSITIVE SELF IMAGING featuring an exceptionally talented young artist,
FELICE JOSEPHINE, who points out the strength, intellect, manual dexterity and creativity that women exhibit everyday. Her works is at
Shangri-La Gifts and Publications, 156 E. State St (The Commons), for March and April. Opening reception was well attended from 5 to 8 PM, Friday, March 4th, 2004.
