Marco Polo Monographs - ISSN 1527-2265 A monograph series, highlighting innovative academic research in the arts, humanities and social sciences. This series explores cross-cultural and cross-discipline issues. Individual volumes in the series may be published in English, French and German, as their primary language. Other languages may be considered in the future. Academics are often and rightly accused of having tunnel vision. They may know a great deal concerning their area of research, but lack the clarity to apply this wisdom to broader issues and more universal concerns. The purpose of this monograph series is to challenge the specialists to tackle broader issues, often left to those with less knowledge, but a greater willingness to jump out on a limb. The goal is to combine in-depth scholarship with broadly based theories and methodologies to tackle issues of our age in a spirit of exploration. We are currently looking for new manuscripts for this series. Doctoral Dissertations in exploratory subjects are especially encouraged by the editors. We are interested in book length manuscript to prepare volumes of between 250 to 300 pp, with no more than 20 pages of illustrations. The style of notation and layout can vary with individual volumes. We encourage submission of manuscripts demonstrating innovative and original approaches to academic inquiry for future volumes.
